THE BEATLES - 'FROM THEN TO YOU'

Issued via mail to UK Fan Club members only in December 1970, this rare LP contains all of seven The Beatles' Christmas messages from 1963-1969.

This outstanding original UK pressing of that LP was pressed by Lyntone and bears a dark green Apple label with the numbers: LYN.2153/4

The disc is housed within a front laminated non-flipback sleeve with the front panel depicting their 1st/1963 Fan Club flexi-disc cover.

Complete with its original plain white 'Patent Nos. 1,125,555' inner-sleeve.

Both labels are clean, bright & unworn with just some texturing of the paper from manufacture but no spindle trails or wear to either centre hole.

Visual: EXCELLENT

Super-clean & bright playing surfaces which retain all of their just-pressed deep-gloss shine. Inspection in strong daylight shows up a single light fingernail surface scuff on side 1 and a tiny (3mm) scratch on track 2 on side 2. Closer inspection directly beneath my unforgiving halogen desk lamp reveals nothing more than a sparkling rainbow shine and a few harmless wispy paper hairlines. Both sides of this heavy pressing lies 100% flat on the turntable when playing.

From visual evidence alone, this album appears to have been barely played. My single careful play check at volume confirms the sound quality to be very high and completely unworn throughout. Its only major blemish comes as a result of the aformentioned scratch on the '1968' track where it caused my stylus to stick and thereafter produced 30-or-so repeating clicks. If it were not for this fault, both sides would easily grade 'Near Mint'.

As the tracks on this album were dubbed from Fan Club secretary Freda Kelly's personal copies of the original flexi-discs, a touch of light background from that original source material is present, but in no way obtrusive.

EXCELLENT -

An extremely respectable example which retains a clean, white and unyellowed front panel which shows a little light creasing and the impression of a number in the upper right corner. There is some light shelfwear bruising to the lower corners and slight wear to the rear opening edges but no tears anywhere. The rear panel is clean & white with just a small mark to the opening edge but no other blemishes at all. Both seams and the unworded spine are unworn and unsplit.

Clean & flat with a hint of storagewear but no writing, seam splits or tears.
