Description

(Note to newbies: “Still in shrink does not mean still sealed!  It means the album is opened, but the owner didn’t pull the shrink off the cover.)

This week’s auctions are from my A-List.  All Beatles LP’s listed will either be first or second pressings, all still in the shrink!  Be sure to look at them all.

Cover--- A beauty.  The cover lies flat.  Razor-sharp seams and spine.  A little dirt on the back cover.  The shrink is split on the back cover all the way down, but the rest did an admirable job, preserving the cover.  A little yellowing on the back, down the mouth of the cover.  There’s one breathe hole on the front, one on the back. RIAA is 3.

Inner Sleeve---The originally issued inner sleeve is present.  It’s the Olive Green Capitol sleeve. All seams are steady-strong.  No splits.  Your “Rubber Soul” LP will be shipped in a generic inner sleeve, so as not to damage your original Capitol sleeve during shipping.

Vinyl---Drop-dead gorgeous, gleaming blinding vinyl.  Looks stunning brand new.  A few scant lines.  You’ll find them under a direct bright and bare bulb, but not in normal room lighting.  Plates are Decca’s numbering system, T8G/ T8G.

Mono Mix Differences---In the song, “Norwegian Wood,” after Lennon sings the line, “She asked me to stay, and she told me to sit anywhere,” you can hear a faint cough in the track that was mixed out of the stereo version.  (Use headphones.) “I’m Looking Through You” has the false start edited out, so that it starts cold.

Labels---Labels are perfect.  Not a single spindle mark.  This is a pressing with Scranton labels.  Band members' names are present, but "The Beatles" is not, indicating a first pressing.  Concentric ring is very close to the playhole.  Labels are flat against the vinyl, as opposed to raised.  These are Decca lathes.

(Please note that due to time constraints, I have had to stop play-testing my vinyl.  However, I am happy to by request.  As these records have been in storage for many years, they will play back with crackling and tics, however; a good moisturizing and cleaning with either D4 Discwasher or a VPI machine always clears them up.  Thanks!)

Shipping is $4.00 for Media Mail for up to 3 single or double albums, excluding boxed sets.

Winners in all other countries will be charged actual shipping to their locations, so please wait to be invoiced.  You will be quoted for the cheapest shipping to your country that the US post office can afford me.  Please let me know if you would prefer to pay for a faster means of shipping, but do NOT ask me to declare packages as gifts, or any other means of defrauding the postal services.  Much appreciated.

I ship on Mondays and Thursdays.  This means that immediate payments will be shipped out the following morning, and later payments must wait until the first available Monday or Thursday after payment is received.  Please pay within 7 days of the auction ending.  I do leave negative feedback for non-payers.

Money back guarantee if you're not happy with your purchase.
