READ THIS! These records are NOT sold for perfect sound quality. They’re sold for their scarcity and VISUAL grading. They’ve been in storage for a decade, and they WILL play with surface noise that can be addressed with D4 or a VPI cleaning.  I can’t test-play at the minute. Please don’t bid if this is a problem for you.

Beatles LP 1966 Revolver First Pressing MONO in Mostly Shrink, Stunner EX!

Not NM, but VERY close to it.  Some sellers would stretch the grading there, but I won’t.  The rarer MONO mix has slightly different versions of the songs than the stereo mix.  See if you can spot them in “Yellow Submarine” and “Tomorrow Never Knows” in particular.

Vinyl--- EX/EX.  Vinyl on both sides shine 98% brand new, mirror-like, with the exceptions of one or two very light hairlines per side.  Gorgeous vinyl.

Plates--- G2/G4.  Machine-stamped triangle with the letters, “IAM” inside it makes this copy pressed by Scranton.

Cover--- Nice VG+.  There’s some missing shrink on the back, along with a split that has allowed some of the back cover to sustain some ringwear.  Otherwise, NO SPLIT SEAMS.

Breathe Holes--- There is one breathe hole on the front cover in Ringo’s hair.  Price tag residue is still affixed to the top right corner.

Labels--- EX/EX.  Labels present as brand new, with the exceptions of a couple short and very light spindle marks per side.

First pressing labels list the songwriting credits with just the last names for “Lennon-McCartney.”  Subsequent issues used their full names. 

Capitol Inner Sleeve--- VG+.  Original yellow Capitol inner sleeve is present.  Presents Excellent, with just a few wrinkles from factory insertion.  But what holds that grade back to a VG+ is a 1/8th-inch bottom center seam split.

A generic inner sleeve will be provided, so as not to damage your original Capitol inner sleeve en route.

RIAA: None

This is a beautiful keeper vinyl copy.  If you want to search for a truly NM copy, feel free.  But this one is so close that no hole is left in the collection if you never find one.

As these records have been in storage for many years, they will play back with crackling and tics, however; a good moisturizing and cleaning with either D4 Discwasher or a VPI machine always clears them up.  Thanks!)

(Please note:  Regarding play-testing, my Technics turntable has somehow seized.  The tone arm is stuck in the up position, and I can’t get it to fully return to its cradle.  Is there anyone out there, who can tell me if this is an easy fix?  Thanks!)
