For your consideration with NO RESERVE, comes this ELVIS PRESLEY NOVELTY 78 rpm METAL ACETATE recorded on the SUN Record label, #215. This is truly a remarkable item, one I'm proud to offer you this week. This has the appearance and superb sound quality of a genuine acetate, and if I couldn't afford an original, this is the one to have. Normally the sound quality isn't very good on a non-genuine acetate, which leads me back to the professionally recorded aspect of this 78. Everything is correct, size and weight, shows studio timing marks and trail-in triangles in colored pencil, 3" diameter labels. Let's explore one very important oddity of this Rockabilly track...at the beginning of Milkcow Blues Boogie for approx. 6-8 revolutions, it's recorded in 45 rpm speed. It also has squiggly lines that are cut-out and the audio picks them up in this area only. It also is different than the studio version, the intro is much slower, almost in his Gospel style. I have provided you with a soundclip so you can verify the 45 rpm speed. The 78 recording of this record is also different than the studio version, starts off slower, then Elvis stops and says, "hold it fellas, that don't move", then the tempo escalates into killer Rockabilly. It also pops in the beginning then cleans up after approx. 25-30 seconds, however, lower audible background noise is present throughout. "You're a Heartbreaker" also has superb sound quality. Comes dressed in an excellent condition ORIGINAL RCA VICTOR 78 rpm sleeve.
