Description
Classic King Crimson album on original, first press Island pink label. Stereo ILPS 9111. Stampers of the same code are machine etched in the run out grooves. Gatefold sleeve is fully intact but does show signs of age wear. Edges are a somewhat frayed, but fully intact with no splits. Some ringwear on the front & back covers and some light wear. Inside cover has a small piece of cellotape (see pic) which can probably be removed, but I'm not trying it! Also, about a 3/4 inch seam damage on inner spine top and bottom - this does not affect the outer spine. The rest of the gatefold spine is fully intact. Overall, it's a pretty decent cover, but certainly not mint. I would grade it VG+ The vinyl itself is in lovely condition. Other than one visible half inch scratch on side 2, the vinyl is in fantastic near mint condition. I played over the one scratch and there are no skips, jumps, nor does it 'click' with every revoluttion. Just typical background crackle. Vinyl has full sheen, gloss and is virtually flawless otherwise.
You can always upgrade the cover, but the vinyl itself is hard to beat with the original full pink Island label.
