Description

An original summer 1971 copy of Zep II on UK Atlantic Red & Plum. Matrix A5/B4. The heavy set vinyl comes housed in an original E J Day printed gatefold cover. Also included is a 'plastic bag warning' inner sleeve from the time. So, 100% genuine and 100% complete.
Vinyl (Vg+/Ex-) In very nice condition and has only seen light to moderate use. Under close inspection we could only make a few light marks either side and a couple of radial marks [effects detailed below]. A thorough testing from beginning to end reveals a mostly NEAR EXCELLENT level of playback with a couple of deviations. Intros and inbetweens are mostly nice and quiet and the audio comes across with great clarity. Side 1 plays very nicely for the most-part all we could detect was a bit of distortion drifting into the audio in 'Thankyou'. Side 2 is very nice too for the most part, but with a couple of issues. Those radial marks don't cause skipping [i.e. it plays through them fine], but they do sound a bit in the audio. Expect a bit of crackle here and there in Heartbreaker - nothing horrendous, it just won't play quite as sweet as the rest of the LP. The second mark just before MOBY causes a couple of pops. By and large this is a very nice player and for the most part delivers a solid rendition. Please expect a bit of foxing on both labels.
Cover (Vg+) In great shape and has clearly been looked after. Nice front with a bit of ageing in that white section and a couple of age spots and the remnants of a signature in the bottom right corner. There's some handling wear on the rear - but it looks better than many examples that surface. The interior looks great - no issues at all. There's some edge wear in places, but the openings are actually still sharp. Do not expect to be able to make out all text on the spine it's ...50/50 at best. Overall the cover still retains excellent rigidity.
Inner (Vg+) No splits, but a bit of ageing.
