Description
Good listening copy of this seminal slice of pioneering jazz from 1960 by creative genius Miles Davis, backed by a crack team including Cannonball Adderly, John Coltrane and Bill Evans.
This is an original UK stereo pressing on the CBS orange label – I'd identify it as a 1965 2nd issue.
The flipback sleeve is in very good shape with just a little creasing to the spine and one corner, and some minor grubbiness to the back cover.
The vinyl has some hairlines and marks, but nothing deep. It plays through with surface noise and tics in a couple of places. There are no skips, sticks or jumps, and the surface noise is more noticeable in quiet sections.
The labels are in excellent shape and there is a nice lined period inner sleeve to go with it.
Sensible start price for a genuine UK Sixties pressing in perfectly listenable shape.
Sleeve grades VG+ at least, and the vinyl Good + to Very Good.
Not one for audiophiles, but nice item for jazz collectors.
