Description

An original Xmas '69 1st issue of LIB on the new boxed label whilst the album charted. Matrix 6w/4w. Lovely heavy-set vinyl giving the nod to what is one of 1st pressings on the new boxed Decca label. Why do we think it is early? Because the label  exhibits a number of attributes pulled through from the original unboxed design. Large catalogue number and album title...and 'the' of Decca Record company appears on the bottom line. Very heavy pressing at 155grams!! The vinyl comes housed in a 1st issue PEEPHOLE cover by Upton with pinched spine. And the other dead giveaway a genuine LIB inner with London Bach Choir credit still visible. So, 100% genuine 100% complete.
Vinyl (Ex/Ex-) In lovely condition and has only seen light use. Super lustre. Under close inspection I can only make out a couple of light marks - notjing troublesome. A thorough testing from beginning to end reveals a mostly EXCELLENT level of playback with one slight deviation per side. Intros and inbetweens are nice and quiet and the audio comes across with superb clarity. For the vintage - very impressive. Not much sign of background by and large... just some light presence in a couple of the quietest moments per side. Really Superb. Country Honk - is absolutely insanely good. Clean entrance to YCAGWYW. Very much worthy of consideration....you are literally days from the last unboxed copies...
Cover (Vg+) Nice shape for the vintage and front is pretty clean. Couple of pinpricks top left and right. Rear looks nice but has a slight ripple to it - presumably has comes into contact with a bit of damp at some point in its life. Expect a bit of slight edge wear.  Spine is 95% intact. Text is legible. Overall the cover retains excellent rigidity.
