Description

A genuine 1st mono from 1964. Matrix 3N/3N - 1st cut. Tax Code "MT". Note that absolute 1st press is identifiable by the wide-body chubby font employed on these labels. Labels mention 'Parlophone' and 'recording 1st pub' - indicative of 1st press. The heavy-set vinyl comes housed in an original E J Day cover with the Emitex inner sleeve. So, 100% genuine and 100% complete.
Vinyl (Ex/Ex+) In superb condition and has only seen light careful use. Under close inspection I could only make out a couple of very light marks per side - nothing remotely troublesome. A thorough testing from beginning to end reveals a mostly EXCELLENT+ level of playback. Intros and inbetweens are lovely quiet and the audio comes across with perfect clarity. This a great little player and handles upbeat numbers with aplomb and the quiet numbers easily with barely a whiff of background. It's a really nice clean player - throughout. Expect nothing more than a few crackles in  one isolated spot per side. It's an absolute belter and would be hard to match - let alone better. Highly recommended. 
Cover (Vg+) These '64 covers can end up looking a bit tired by this point in time - but check this one out! It would grade higher but for a small one inch tear toward the bottom of the opening [internally tape repaired - just a minor cosmetic issue now].  A lovely clean looking front with one crease in the bottom right leading to that tear. The rear has escaped most of the ageing process - it's looking very sprightly! Flipbacks are all intact and secure. The spine is 100% intact. Overall the cover retains excellent rigidity.
Inner (Ex-) Minimal ageing. No splits.
