Description

An original 1st mono press of AHDN on the UK Parlophone label. Matrix 3N/3N. Stampers 2-RPL/3-RPG. Please note the label design employs the 'chubby font' which is only found on the 1st of the 1st presses. The heavy-set vinyl comes housed in an original Garrod & Lofthouse cover. Also included is the original Emitex inner sleeve. So, 100% genuine and 100% complete.
Vinyl (Ex+) In lovely condition and has only seen relatively light use. Under close inspection we could only make a few light marks - nothing remotely troublesome. A thorough testing from beginning to end reveals a mostly EXCELLENT+ level of playback.  A very fine rendition indeed and I have to say even after two plays I'm struggling to pick up pretty much anything adverse at all in the audio. Very nice clean audio even in those low-key tracks all the way through. It obviously helps that AHDN was pressed super heavy, but many copies today will start to see degradation in the sound. Auditioning a well above average copy like this example is a treat and does not fail to impress.
Cover (Ex) In great shape and has clearly been looked after down the years. Lovely lean and shiny front which is largely free from the creasing and stress marks that you often find. The rear seems to have mostly avoided the ageing process you usually find. The only visible deterioration is the stain in the bottom left corner. A small price to pay for what looks almost as good from the rear as the front - something you can't always guarantee. Edge wear is very light and the openings still sharpish. The spine is 100% intact and overall the cover retains excellent rigidity.
Inner (Vg+) No splits or markings. Just lightly aged.
