The Beatles Abbey Road LP UK 1st Press 2/1 No Her Majesty - BARGAIN

	£		55
	$		73

Description

An original 1st press of Abbey Road on the UK Apple label. Matrix 2/1. Please note the labels make NO mention of 'Her Majesty' as found on all later copies. The heavy set vinyl comes housed in an original Garrod & Lofthouse cover. We have included a black replica inner sleeve to finish off the ensemble.
Vinyl (Ex) In great condition and has only seen light use. Under close inspection we could only make out a couple of marks either side - nothing heavy though. A thorough testing from beginning to end reveals an EXCELLENT level of playback with one deviation. Intros and inbetweens are nice and quiet and the audio comes across with great clarity. I shouldn't need to remind anyone that a 1st press of Abbey Road well preserved sounds 'out of this world'. Top-level resolution and transparency - a level unobtainable on any other pressing. Interference, by and large, is very minor. The only vague issue is a few light/brief ticks in 'Here Comes The Sun'. Other than we are talking one very impressive rendition.
Cover (Ex-) Has been looked after down the years. Nice shiny front with a couple of creases in the top left. The rear fares better with minimal creasing. Edge wear is light and the text on the spine is all legible. Overall the cover retains excellent rigidity and remains an impressive specimen.
Inner (Ex+) Replica..as new. No splits.
