The Beatles Abbey Road LP UK 1st Press No Her Majesty [Ex-/Ex]

Description

A 1st press of AR on the UK Apple label from 1969. Matrix 2/1 - 1st cut. To establish very 1st pressing you also need to look for the pressing WITHOUT "Her Majesty" on the labels. These 1st pressings are well worth tracking down as they are pressed heavier and the audio has excellent warmth and detail. The vinyl comes housed in an original cover with the very thin spine. Also included is an original inner sleeve from the time.
Vinyl (Ex-/Vg+) In lovely condition and has only seen relatively light use. Under close inspection I can make out a few marks per side - seemingly nothing heavy, or troublesome, though. A thorough testing from beginning to end reveals a mostly NEAREXCELLENT level of playback with a couple of deviations. These early copies are famed for their audio and it is still very much evident on this example. Not clean enough to hit the top grades - but still very accomplished. Expect just a touch of static in a couple of tracks per side. We're generally talking low-level type stuff [not up front] ....The only tracks I'd say it is a bit elevated in are - 'Octopus's Garden' & 'YNGMYM' & 'Sun King'. These tracks still pay back more than acceptable though - and are often the trickiest to find playing truly clean. Providing you can live with these issues you'll be treated to a great rendition from this true 1st press.
Cover (Ex) Very very smart indeed - they certainly do not all hit this standard. Lovely bold colours and very few signs of creasing at all. Both front and rear are nice and flat and look impressive. There's very little edge wear at all and the spine is 100% intact. Overall the cover retain excellent rigidity.
Inner (Vg+) Light ageing. But no splits.
