Description

An original 1st press of Abbey Road on the UK Apple label. Matrix 2/1. Please note the labels make NO mention of 'Her Majesty' as found on all later copies. The heavy set vinyl comes housed in an original 1st issue Garrod & Lofthouse printed cover with misaligned apple logo. Also included is the original Apple generic white 'made in england' inner sleeve. So, 100% genuine and 100% complete.
Vinyl (Ex/Ex-) In great condition and is certainly one of the nicer copies I've seen. Under close inspection there are a few marks either side - but nothing feelable or deep. A thorough testing from beginning to end reveals a mostly EXCELLENT level of playback. Intros and inbetweens are nice and quiet and the audio comes across with great clarity. Interference is minor and infrequent. All we could detect was a touch of static in a couple of of tracks and a few crackles in 'You never Give Me Your Money'. But other than that playback is of a high standard and remains an impressive rendition.
Cover (Ex) Has been looked after down the years. Nice shiny front and back showing only a few creases. Edge wear is mostly light and the spine is 100% intact. Overall the cover retains excellent rigidity and lies perfectly flat. Nice!
Inner (Ex-) Light ageing. One bottom edge split [1 inch].

Any purchase is guaranteed to get to you quickly, safely, and with total satisfaction, or your money back.
