Description

An original 1st press of AR on the UK Apple label from 1969. Matrix 2/1 - very 1st cut. The labels do not mention "Her Majesty" and are the very 1st iteration available of AR. The heavy-set vinyl comes housed in an original G&L cover. We also have a generic white inner from the time, but not the 'patents applied for' version.
Vinyl (Ex/Ex+) In super condition and has only seen relatively light use. Under close inspection I could only make out about four light marks on side 2 - nothing feelable or likely to sound. A thorough testing from beginning to end reveals a mostly EXCELLENT+ level of playback with one slight deviation. Intro and inbetweens are very nice and quiet and the audio comes across with superb clarity. A really very sound player indeed with very little to find fault with. The only thing I could vaguely notice was a touch of light static momentarily in 'Never Give Me Your Money'. A beautiful player as I've come to expect from these fantastic 1st pressings.
Cover (Vg+) In great shape and is only exhibiting a bit of creasing on the front - bottom left corner and top left corner. The rear fairs better with just a couple of lighter creases. Edge wear is relatively light and the spine's not too bad either. Just a one inch patch of minor wear in the middle....the catalogue number is partially worn as are two of the letters of the band name. Overall the cover retains very good rigidity.
Inner (Vg) Bit of light ageing, but no splits.
