Description
An original 1st pressing of Abbey Road on the UK Apple label. Matrix 2/1. Please note the labels do NOT mention HER MAJESTY and are therefore considered very 1st pressing. The heavy set vinyl comes housed in an original Garrod & Lofthouse cover. Also included is the original black inner sleeve. So, 100% genuine and 100% complete.
Vinyl (Vg+/Ex-) In very nice condition and has only seen light to moderate use. Under close inspection there are a couple of light marks either side - nothing remotely troublesome. A thorough testing from beginning to end reveals a mostly NEAR EXCELLENT level of playback. Intros and inbetweens are quiet and the audio comes across with great clarity. Interference is minor and only occasionally audible. We detected a bit of static in a couple of the tracks. E.g 'Come Together'. It's never what I'd call invasive, but it will be audible from time to time. A great little player though and the true 1st press...
Cover (Ex) In superb shape and has clearly been looked after down the years. A lovely shiny front which is mostly free of the usual creasing. The rear is in equally good condition with little creasing. Very little edge wear. The spine is 100% intact and overall the cover retains excellent rigidity. Very very nice...
Inner (Vg+) A couple of little side splits. Nothing major.
