Description

An original 1st press of AR on UK Apple from '69. Matrix 2/1. These early copies from the sixties are every heavy pressed and sound fab. VERY 1st Pressing with 'NO HER MAJESTY'. The vinyl comes housed in an original fully aminated cover - the Mis-aligned Apple version [1st version to hit the shops]. With generic white company inner.
Vinyl (Ex-/Vg+) A great looking copy and has only seen light to moderate use. A few light marks per side, one light trail, a small surface level blemish - nothing heavy or that significant. A thorough testing from beginning to end reveals a mostly NEAREXCELLENT of playback with a couple of deviations per side. Quiet intros and inbetweens and the audio comes across with great clarity by and large. It is not quiet hitting the highest grading - but isn't too far off in reality. Sufficiently good enough for the most part to really impress. I noticed a couple of isolated clicks early in Come Together. Maxwell Hammer plays superb. One solitary click in 'Oh Darling'. HCTS & Because - play superb and are very fussy. Sun King plays pretty clean with just the odd static crackle occasionally and a couple of ticks early on [super fussy.]. The overall average, I'd argue, is pretty impressive. Clearly not perfect. But more than capable of fully revealing this Beatle masterpiece.
Cover (Vg+/Vg) Front and rear are tidy but expect a couple of laminate creases front and back. THE MAIN ISSUE is the extreme top right [study photo no. FIVE in zoom]. There's some damage to the top right corner - more noticeable on the front. It has been tape repaired to tidy it up - not too bad and remember this is the Misaligned version. Not much edge wear and firm openings. The spine is 99% intact. The cover still retains excellent rigidity.
Inner (Vg+) Lightest ageing. No splits.
