Description

An original 1st press of AR on the UK Apple label in 1969. Matrix 2/1 - 1st cut. Please note labels are consistent with 1st press and DO NOT mention 'her majesty' on side 2. The heavy-set vinyl comes housed in an original slim spine cover. We also have a generic white inner from the time too.
Vinyl (Ex) In lovely condition and has only seen light use. Under close inspection I can only make out a few very superficial light marks per side - nothing remotely troublesome. A thorough testing from beginning to end reveals an, at least, EXCELLENT level of playback. Intros and inbetweens are really nice and quiet and the audio comes across perfect clarity. A truly excellent example of this highly sought after 1st issue. Folk insist on the early copies because they were pressed heavy - and the audio contained within is truly a marvel. A really lovely clean player into those lower-key tracks like 'Here Comes the Sun' & 'Because'. Hear these tracks on a clean 1st pressing and you'll soon find out what all the fuss is about! Perhaps just the odd isolated crackle [and one isolated tick] in the super fussy tracks YNGMYM and Sun King. But even these tracks are playing way way better than you typically find. This really is a terrific 'all rounder' - it plays at a high standard...consistently. If AR is your bag and you're looking for maximum audio.. you've come to the right place. Love it!
Cover (Ex-) In very nice condition with nothing detrimental showing. A couple of thumbnail creases front and back and only very lightest handling. Looking very smart all in all. Edge wear is very light indeed and the openings are still sharpish. The spine is 100% intact. Overall the cover retains excellent rigidity.
