Description

An original 1st press of AR on the UK Apple label from 1969. Matrix 2/1 [1st cut]. Please note that the labels DO NOT mention 'Her Majesty' next to the track 'The End' - this is the main indicator of VERY 1st press. Well worth seeking out these early copies they sound fab and were pressed that bit heavier too. The vinyl comes house in an original thin spine cover with laminated waxy surfaces. We also have the original black inner sleeve provided by Apple at 1st release [exposed flips]. So, we're 100% genuine and 100% complete.
Vinyl (Ex) A lightly used copy which is in super condition given the vintage and relative popularity of this title. Under close inspection there are a couple of light marks per side - but nothing thankfully heavy or troublesome. A thorough testing from beginning to end reveals an, at least, EXCELLENT level of playback. Intros and inbetweens are lovely and quiet and the audio comes across with superb clarity. The audio on these early copies is legendary and it is very much evident on this example too. Highly addictive! The question with AR is can you find a copy that has seen sufficiently light use that those lowkey super fussy sections play clean. And I'm pleased to report that this is one of the best examples I've witnessed. It's not perfect - but it is getting pretty darn close. A couple of crackles in a couple of isolated spots per side. One isolated tick midway through side 2. The side 2 mega fussy sections are playing really sweet [really clean]. This copy will smoke 90% of decent copies out there...It is very highly accomplished. 
Cover (Ex-) Has been carefully looked after and the front and back are looking very tidy. On the front there's a crease top right and bottom right. But precious little else and the colour retention is impressive. The rear is marginally better - no creasing and flat as a pancake. Minimal edge wear and sharp firm openings. The text on the spine is fully legible, but there's just a couple of grubby patches. Overall the cover retains excellent rigidity.
Inner (Vg+) Better than you often tend to find. A 1 inch bottom edge split.
