Description

An original 1st press of AR on the UK Apple label from 1969. Matrix 2/1 - very 1st cut. Please note the very 1st AR copies are identifiable by the absence of the 'Her Majesty' credit on the labels. The heavy-set vinyl comes housed in an original 1st issue G&L cover with aligned Apple [both versions were available at 1st issue]. We also have a white generic inner from the time with patent info. So, 100% genuine and 100% complete.
Vinyl (Vg+) In very nice condition and has only light to moderate use. Under close inspection I could make out a couple of light marks per side. A thorough testing from beginning to end reveals a mostly VERYGOOD+ level of playback with a couple of deviations. Anyone familiar with these 1st pressings will know what I mean when I mention that the audio is "dreamy"! This copy won't hit the top grades as there's a bit of static audible in places. Not invasive really - mostly just background type stuff that you will pick up in the quieter moments. The only tracks where it's slightly more elevated are in 'You Never Give Me Your Money' / 'Sun King' - by virtue of their very low-key natre. Overall a very nice playing copy for someone who can compromise a little in order to bag a true 1st press at a keen price.
Cover (Ex) In very nice condition and has been cared for down the years. The front is looking superb, flat and with just a couple of minor creases near the opening. The rear looks equally good with precious little creasing. Edge wear is light and the spine looks very good with just a couple minor wear patches. The text slightly obscured in a couple of places - not bad though. Overall the cover still retains its original rigidity.
Inner (Ex-) Lightest ageing. No splits.
