Description

An original 1st press of Abbey Road on the UK Apple label. Matrix 2/1. Please note that the labels make no reference to "Her Majesty" and this is indicative of absolute 1st press. The heavy set vinyl comes housed in an original Garrod & Lofthouse cover. Also included is an original white sleeve from the time. So, 100% complete & 100% genuine.
Vinyl (Ex-/Vg+) In very nice condition despite having seen moderate use. Under close inspection we can make out a few light marks per side, and a couple of superficial trails - but absolutely nothing heavy/feelable. Do bear this in mind - if you need a clean looking slab of vinyl this example probably won't fit the bill. A thorough testing from beginning to end reveals a mostly NEAR EXCELLENT level of playback with one slight deviation. Intros and inbetweens are nice and quiet and the audio comes across with great clarity for the most part. Do expect a few crackles in the odd place...E.g. in the opening moments of 'Maxwell's Silver Hammer'. But for much of the Lp expect an impressive rendition.
Cover (Ex-) A nice looking front with only a couple of creases. The rear is equally good just a crease in that top right corner. Edge wear is light and the spine seems to be totally intact. Overall the cover retains excellent rigidity.
Inner (Vg) A bit of ageing. And two edge splits have been taped up.
