Description

An original 1st press of Help! on the UK Parlophone label. Matrix 2/2. Please note the labels exhibit the abbreviated "Lark Mus. " publishing credit and the track 'I Need You' is followed by a space and then an asterisk [all indicative of very 1st press]. The heavy set vinyl comes housed in an original Garrod & Lofthouse cover. Also included is the original Emitex inner sleeve. So, 100% genuine and 100% complete.
Vinyl (Ex/Ex+) In lovely condition and has only seen relatively light use. Under close inspection there are a couple of light marks either side, and a couple of patches of superficial scuffing marks - nothing heavy or that will impinge on the audio. A thorough testing from beginning to end reveals a mostly EXCELLENT+ level of playback with one slight deviation. Intros and inbetweens are nice and quiet and the audio comes across with excellent clarity. Interference is both minor and infrequent. All we could detect were a few crackles in a couple of isolated moments. Then, a couple of clicks momentarily as 'Lose that Girl' opens up. Other than that expect an impressive and clean rendition. Even 'Yesterday' - the benchmark test track - is very nice and clean..which is not always an easy find.
Cover (Ex-) In very nice shape with a beautiful white front cover exhibiting that, now, iconic image. All I can make out are a couple of small thumbnail creases toward the opening and one crease in the top right corner. The rear seems to have escaped most of the usual ageing process - just one or two light marks in places. Edge wear is very light and the spine is 100% intact. Overall the cover retains excellent rigidity.
Inner (Ex-) Bit of light ageing. No splits though.
