Description

An original 2nd press of Help! on the UK Parlophone label from 1966. Matrix 2/2 - same as 1st cut. The heavy-set vinyl comes housed in an original Mono G&L cover with flipbacks. Also included is the original 'patent applied for' generic white inner sleeve that you would have found it in in 1966. So, 100% genuine and 100% complete.
Vinyl (Ex+) In lovely condition and has clearly only seen light use. Under close inspection I could only make out a couple of light marks per side and one small patch of very superficial scuffing - nothing heavy or that would vaguely enter the audio spectrum. A thorough testing from beginning to end reveals an EXCELLENT+ level of playback with one very slight deviation. Intros and inbetweens are pretty much silent and the audio comes across with perfect clarity. I'd love to think that all copies will playback like this, but unfortunately copies at this level are few and far between. The audio is absolutely top-draw and that can only come from an original copy that has been cared for and played sparingly. Complex sections are delivered with aplomb and the low-key moments with precision and barely a whiff of background. Interference is pretty much totally absent. I couldn't detect more than few isolated crackles in a couple of spots. Even 'Yesterday' plays really clean without any background...and this really is a very hard find indeed. The one deviation is an isolated tick in 'You Like Me To Much'. 
Cover (Ex/Ex+) That iconic front image looks amazing and is totally devoid of ageing, just two tiny thumbnail creases. Again, this is very very unusual to find quite such a fine specimen. Then, take a look at the rear...it hasn't been effected by ageing either. There are no hidden nasties or anything even vaguely noticeable. The flipbacks are perfectly preserved. This is about as good as humanly possible to find. Edge wear is pretty much non-existent and the openings still sharpish. The spine is 100% intact and overall the cover retains perfect rigidity. 
Emitex (Ex-) A touch of light ageing. No markings or splits.
