THE BEATLES - 'SGT. PEPPER'S LONELY HEARTS CLUB BAND'
Produced in a single limited quantity batch in October 1969, this scarce UK edition is the finest sounding mono pressings of this album.
It is one of only 3 Beatles albums to be released in mono on the '1-EMI box' Parlophone label: PMC 7027
1st pressing matrices: XEX 637-1 & XEX 638-1
Stamper codes: 2/MPG & 1,9/MOL
Vinyl weight: 134g
Housed in a fully laminated 'Garrod & Lofthouse' printed mono gatefold cover.
Complete with original plain white 'Patent Nos....' inner-sleeve & unusued cut-out sheet.

Labels: EXCELLENT
Both labels are clean and undamaged with a small number of light spindle trails around each centre hole.
Visual: VERY GOOD +
Super-clean, deep-gloss playing surfaces on which the only noticeable blemish is a light, 1.5cm turntable scuff on side 2. Closer examination directly beneath halogen light reveals some harmless wispy paper-type hairlines but nothing else of significance.
Audio: EXCELLENT
This great sounding disc has received only minimal play on quality equipment and all tracks play cleanly with no trace of any groove/playwear distortion, even in the innermost tracks. Unlike earlier pressings, this disc does not suffer from the distortion or break-up on 'She's Leaving Home'. Aside from some vinyl background is audible on the introduction of 'Within Without You' and a few soft ticks on 'When I'm 64', there is little to distract from the depth and beauty of the sound.
Cover: EXCELLENT
A vibrant, glossy and fully intact example bearing light storagewear only. The richly coloured front panel is bright & unfaded and carries just a single 'thumbnail' wrinkles and light rubbing from storage. There is light bruising to the corner tips but no heavy bumps to any. The rear panel is in similar shape to the front panel but has has three light wrinkles towards the opening edge. Both panels inside the gatefold are pristine. All seams are smooth & unstressed and the spine is clean & fully worded.
Inner-sleeve: EXCELLENT -
Light wrinkles and adhesive residue from manufacture but no writing, tears or seam splits.
