Description

An original 1st stereo press of BB on the UK Decca label from 1968. Matrix 1K/1K - very 1st press. Stampers 1B/1-BM. The heavy-set vinyl comes housed in an original stereo Garrod & Lofthouse cover with 'patents pending' [ the very 1st design]. Also included is the original blue and white stereo Decca inner sleeve. So, 100% genuine and 100% complete.
Vinyl (Ex+) In lovely condition and has only seen light careful use. Under close inspection we could only make out a few light marks per side - nothing troublesome though. A thorough testing from beginning to end reveals an EXCELLENT+ with one slight deviation. Well, this really is an absolute tour-de-force copy.. beautiful faithfully rendered audio all the way through. It's a very early copy which is certainly helping, but it has clearly been looked after too. Interference is very very minor indeed. All I could detect were a few crackles in a couple of isolated moments. The only deviation is a couple of clicks in the closing couple of seconds of Street Fighting Man. To be honest the audio is 90% faded out by the time it occurs. So, to all intents and purposes it's pretty much as if the clicks occur in the interval - if you gonna have one..this is the best place for it! So, please rest assured that this copy will deliver you an absolutely top-line rendition of this STONES classic. No Expectations/Prodigal Son...just sound amazing on a nice early clean copy...Superb!
Cover (Ex) In great condition and it's a real treat seeing one of these original copies looking quite this SWEET. A lovely clean front cover with a couple of thumbnail creases. It has largely avoided the ageing process and still retains most of its whiteness. Ditto the rear..the only thing I can spot are a couple of indentations in the top-sector..nothing standout. The interior looks great - no issues at all. Edge wear is light for this title. There's a bit on the spine, but all text is still legible. Please note the spine is slightly compressed so don't expect it to be totally square [this is almost obligatory on this title]. Overall the cover retains excellent rigidity.
Inner (Ex) Lovely condition... No marks or splits. Tiniest amount of ageing in a couple of spots.
