Description

An original autumn 1970 1st issue on UK Decca and would have been available whilst the LP charted. Matrix 1W/3W. Some of the earliest copies can be found with laminated rear - this example is not laminated on the rear. Worth insisting on the earlier copies because they were pressed heavier - not all copies were pressed to this standard. Note how the album title on the labels is the wider bodied font used on the earlier copies. You can also observe this on the catalogue number too. We also have the original blue and white Decca inner sleeve date coded '08-70'. So, we're 100% genuine and 100% complete. You can afford to be choosy on this title....insist on utter perfection!!
Vinyl (Ex+) In beautiful condition and has only seen the very lightest use possible. Under close inspection I could barely make out a single mark either side - the labels are pristine and the surfaces like mirrors. A thorough testing from beginning to end reveals an EXCELLENT+ level of playback without reservation. Intros and inbetweens are perfectly quiet and the audio comes across with superb clarity. I would argue that this copy offers an unrivalled level of transparency. It is within the best couple of copies I've ever witnessed. Little to quibble at here - it's a perfectly clean player throughout. Even into those super low-key tracks. 'Love In Vain' plays super clean - this is really very very unusual. Expect nothing more than a couple of crackles in a couple of moments per side. A blindingly good copy - FINAL UPGRADE. 
Cover (Ex+) A funny irony with laminated/non-laminate rear is, in fact, that it's much harder to find an unlaminated rear in top level condition. But this copy is defying the odds and remains in stunning condition. The front is borderline perfect with no creasing or ageing at all. The rear has pretty much avoided the ageing process. There's only slightest handling observable in a couple of spots. Edge wear is pretty much unobservable and the corners still all pointed. The spine is 100% intact and the openings still sharp. Overall the cover retains excellent rigidity. A stunning specimen.
Inner (Vg+) A bit aged in places. No splits though.
