This fine UK MONO pressing dates from late 1963 on the yellow & black Parlophone label: PMC 1206

This example was pressed by EMI rivals Decca who were contracted in to help meet overwhelming demand for this LP on release.


Matrix numbers: XEX 447-7N & XEX 448-7N

Stamper codes: 3 & 4

Vinyl weight: 145g


Housed in a front laminated, tri-flipback 'Garrod & Lofthouse' printed mono cover.

Complete with its original 'Use Emitex..' poly-lined inner-sleeve.


CONDITION

Labels: NEAR MINT

A fine set bearing no more than 2/3 light spindle trails and unworn centre holes.

Visual: EXCELLENT +

Super-clean, deep-gloss playing surfaces which are 'as new' in strong daylight. Close examination beneath halogen light reveals some light wispy hairlines and one or two very light marks from the few times this disc has been removed from its inner-sleeve.

Sound Quality: NEAR MINT

Clean & unworn sound throughout with not a trace of any play/groove wear on any track. Aside from a touch of low-level vinyl background on the run-ins and between tracks, there is nothing to fault on this barely played gem.

Cover: EXCELLENT -

A clean & strong example bearing minor storagewear to its front panel where the only significant issue is a small scratch to the left of Ringo's head.
There is light shelfwear to the corners and slight toning to the rear opening edge but no tears or feathering.
The exposed rear panel is overall clean with a little storage rubbing but no writing or missing paper.
All flipbacks & seams are intact and the spine is clean and fully worded.
