Description

An original 1st press of AHDN on the UK Parlophone label from 1964. Matrix 3N/3N. Please note the labels are consistent with very 1st press and exhibit the chubby font and 'Parlophone' in the perimeter text. The heavy set vinyl comes housed in an original Garrod & Lofthouse cover. Also included is an Emitex inner sleeve - my hunch is that the Emitex is a later replica, though.
Vinyl (Ex/Ex-) In great condition and has only seen light use. Under close inspection we could only make out a couple of light marks either side - nothing remotely troublesome. A thorough testing from beginning to end reveals a mostly EXCELLENT level of playback. By and large a very decent and clean rendition. Interference is both minor and infrequent. All we could detect was a touch of light static in one or two tracks. Nothing remotely invasive or persistent. A beautifully preserved 1st press copy...impressive!
Cover (Vg+) In great shape and has been looked after down the years. Lovely clean and unaged front with little creasing. Might grade a tad higher but for a 2c.m. tear [toward top of opening] which has been tape repaired internally. The rear has escaped most of the usual fading process - just a touch along the opening edge. All flipbacks are perfectly secure and edge wear is very light. The spine is 100% intact. Overall the cover retains excellent rigidity.
Inner (Ex-) Light ageing and no splits.
