Description

An original 1st mono press of AHDN on the UK Parlophone label from 1964. Matrix 3N/3N. Please note label design is perfectly consistent with 1st press - 'recording 1st published' is mentioned and 'Parlophone' in the perimeter text. The heavy-set vinyl comes housed in an original mono G&L cover with flipbacks. Also included is the original Emitex inner sleeve. So, 100% complete and 100% genuine.
Vinyl (Ex/Ex+) In great condition and has only seen light use. Under close inspection I could only make out a couple of light marks per side - nothing remotely troublesome. A thorough testing from beginning to end reveals a mostly EXCELLENT+ level of playback with one slight deviation. Intros and inbetweens are pretty much silent and the audio comes across with superb clarity. Whether it's the low-key numbers or the uptempo ones it's all delivered with authority and aplomb. Interference is very minor and infrequent. All I could detect was a touch of lightest static in "And I Love Her" - very minor really.  A very clean and impressive rendition..recommended! 
Cover (Ex-) In great shape and has clearly been looked after down the years. Lovely shiny front with only a couple of thumbnail creases and a couple of stress creases at the spine edge. The rear has escaped most of the ageing process with just a touch showing a the opening. There's one minor squiggle on the rear in the top left corner. Edge wear is light and the spine is 100% intact. Please note there's a two inch split at the top edge [see photo] I've repaired it so well [internally] it's not all that easy to spot. Overall the cover retains excellent rigidity.
Emitex (Vg+) Light ageing. One edge split has been taped up.
